In the Auditorium of the Argentina Federation and Bakery Workers Union (FAUPPA) and in agreement with the International Youth Day, it was held the 1st Meeting of International Youth Unions with the support of organizations such as the Building and Wood Workers' International – BWI, among others.

The debate of fellow representatives from different organizations was about the structures and functions of the Youth in International Federations, the several ongoing international campaigns linked to the defence of labour rights, conditions of Decent Work, the employability of young people in the world of work and ways to combine these international campaigns and their results in different national areas, where union representatives of each country make effective its union action.

Julian Sosa, representative of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), José Luis López (UOCRA - BWI), Martin Berdiñas (UNI) and Mario García, International Union of Food Workers (IUF), expressed their viewpoints on these issues and highlighted the importance of the role of youth in trade union structures, the culture of meeting in search of the common good and defence of labour rights and the need to strengthen the areas of union militancy for young people as a living flame of an organized labor movement.
