The latest measures must strengthen the Solidarity Fund, which is one of the mechanisms that make possible solidarity among workers and which serve to compensate extraordinary expenses in Health Insurance on special and high complexity health services. The System will also participate with a special contribution of eight billion pesos in Universal Health Insurance to be established for the most vulnerable people in society. It is not about distribution of funds from the State to Health Insurances, but the recognition that these funds are contributed by employers and workers. We hope that such decision gives greater transparency in the control and administration of resources, ensuring timely financing of special health services, mainly for the disabled. Also, we trust in Health Insurances as natural agents of the Solidarity Health System, when working jointly and severally with the Public System, with an effective health service can meet the people’s health needs by providing timely, sufficient and adequate response.
