Together with UOCRA Rio Tercero, working conditions were surveyed at Central Nuclear Embalse works.
Within the framework of the Programme on Management and Work’s Inspection there carried out survey actions in the works Central Nuclear Embalse (Río Tercero – Córdoba)which nowadays provides enough energy to power 3 and 4 million people. The energy generated provides power to Northwest of Argentina, Cuyo, Center, Greater Buenos Aires-Litoral. In this third stage of work, there is a "stop" of Plant in order to perform the work of replacement of powerplant essential components, including the reactor pressure tubes. After the works have been completed, the central will reach around 700 megawatts power, 6% more than the present capacity. Within the framework of the Programme on Management and Work’s Inspection UOCRA Rio Tercero - Embalse and the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), carried out survey actions on working conditions where over 800 building workers are working, on 15 July 2015. On 16 July, there was a training day for over 20 delegates, with the aim of early detection of occupational risks, and further work on adjustments and continuous monitoring of working conditions. Trade Union action, within the framework of Act 23551, allows us to raise awareness and incorporate Working Conditions and Environment improvement through union actions and technical support.
