EXPERIENCE AND YOUTH CHARACTERIZES THE BWI REGIONAL COMMITTEES FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN DURING THE PERIOD 2018-2022

The 4th BWI Regional Conference, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on 30 November and 1 December, elected the new authorities of the Regional Committee innovating with the statutory group, the Country-Group Brazil or 27 according to the current bylaws which gather organizations affiliated to this country.
 In total, the BWI Regional Committee 2018-2022 was composed by 10 full members, two for each statutory Country-group, five in Latin America and The Caribbean.
Panamanian Saúl Méndez from SUNTRACS Panama, will lead the BWI Regional Committee for the region. He was elected in the 4th BWI Global Congress (Durban, South Africa in December 2017).
The women Regional Committee has confirmed the presidency of Marta Pujadas from UOCRA, Argentina. 
Jorge Hernández from FETRACOME, Chile, will head the Youth Regional Committee (CRJ).
The 4th BWI Regional Conference also adopted 8 resolutions that respond to the circumstances and situation of industry and their workers in the region, and also, changes related to regional bylaws were made adapting them to current times in the region and the strategic regional plan was accepted.
In this special publication on the IV Conference, all the new full members of each regional committee are listed (Youth, Women and LAC Committee) along with the new main resolutions.
