Tripartite Seminar: Decent Work and Youth in Argentina” ILO – PREJAL (“Project for Youth Employment Promotion in Argentina”)
Last Wednesday July 2 was held the Tripartite Seminar “Decent Work and Youth in Argentina” organized by the ILO – PREJAL (“Project for Youth Employment Promotion in Argentina”) and the Ministry of Labour, which ended up by signing a Declaration that establishes consensual action lines for the promotion of decent and productive work for the Argentine Youth. The aforementioned Declaration was signed by Dr Carlos Tomada, Minister of Labour and National Social Security; Dr. Juan Carlos Lascurain, President of the Argentine Industrial Union [UIA], Mr. Gerardo Martinez, Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Argentine General Confederation of Labour [CGT] Adolfo Aguirre, Foreign Affairs Secretary of Argentine Workers´Central [CTA] and Dr. Daniel Funes de Rioja, Vicepresident of the ILO’s Governing Body.
The Declaration contains Objectives such as “incorporate differential strategies aimed at the attention of the most vulnerable collective youth” or “incorporate the youth employment issue within the Social Dialogue of Mercosur’s trading block.
Gerardo Martinez highlighted “The importance of the Program and the Declaration which was born from the tripartite consensus for youth employment policies consolidation in our country”.
