UOCRA opened the doors of the new Trade Union Headquarter and The Primary Care Medical Center [Cemap] in the city of Puerto Madryn in an act that was graced with the presence of General Secretary, Gerardo Martinez, who inaugurated the facilities formally; members of National Secretariat, local authorities and more than 2,000 workers.

 

Gerardo Martinez, Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Argentine Federal Confederation of Labour [CGTRA] and Coordinator of the Argentine Economic and Social Consultative Forum, together with the Forum representatives received Marcos Peña Pinto, President of the Economic and Social Council of Spain at Uocra Headquarters.

 

Gerardo Martinez, Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Republic of Argentina CGT, hosted the conference offered by the renowned and prestigious French sociologist, François Dubet, professor at the University of Bordeaux and investigator at the Center of Sociological Analysis and Intervention [CADIS] of the High Studies School on Social Sciences of Paris [EHESS] at the Workers Union venue.

 
 The Regional Specialist in Working Education ACTRAV - ILO Lima, Carmen Benítez, visited Gerardo Martinez as Member of the ILO´s Governing Body and Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Argentine Federal Confederation of Labour CGT-RA at Uocra headquarters on October 15. Important social labor issues that affect workers of our region were discussed and exchanged their opinions on the next agenda of activities.
 
On October 8, Technical Specialist of the ILO Program of Multinational Companies, Mrs. Yukiko Arai was received by Gerardo Martinez, as Member of the ILO´s Governing Body and Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Argentine Federal Confederation of Labour CGT-RA.  In this meeting, Mrs. Arai spoke about the new agenda for the preparation of a new methodology for the evaluation of the declaration of the ILO on Multinational Companies that was approved in November 2007 with its two later amendments.
