Building and Wood Workers' International � BWI Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean is pleased to give its members in the region the present institutional pamphlet containing the new guidelines that placed affiliates in the center of our Trade Union actions. They are new guidelines that seek solidarity joint action to fight the wave of conservative economic measures with layoffs, infringement of rights and lack of respect to trade unions. We made adjustments in the BWI team to work with a more flexible approach in the planning and implementation of actions; improve the regional organization and transparency; to have a more effective communication; encourage the development of experiences with affiliates; and to promote regional and global commitment to all trade unions. We hope this material be useful to guide its members and also to promote BWI in their countries and increase regional membership. Unionized worker is protected worker! Organized Trade Union is strong Trade Union!
