Trade Union Training Programme for UOCRA’s Youth: Special class with Víctor Báez (TUCA) and Stephen Benedict (ITUC) on the International Youth Day

Victor Baez General Secretary of Trade Union Confederation of the Americas (TUCA) and Stephen Benedict, International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) representative took part in a special class aimed at young participants of Trade Union Training Programme for UOCRA’s Youth.

Within the framework of the Trade Union Training Programme for UOCRA’s Youth it was delivered a special class in the presence of Victor Baez General Secretary of Trade Union Confederation of the Americas (TUCA) and Stephen Benedict, International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) representative
The meeting brought together Deputy Secretary in charge of the UOCRA Capital and the General Secretary of the Northern Buenos Aires and members of the Central Executive Committee of UOCRA, Rubén Pronotti and Osvaldo Rodríguez, and young participants in the Trade Union Training course at the Building Workers Union UOCRA headquarters.
There were also present members of UOCRA - CGT RA International Team, President of the Regional Women's Committee of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Building and Wood Workers' International - BWI Marta Pujadas, Guillermo Zuccotti, members of the Central Electoral Board of UOCRA and representatives of other Argentine trade union organizations.
The class was held to commemorate the International Youth Day, understanding that the training of young people is essential for the defence and strengthening of the policies of Trade Union action being conducted by UOCRA.
In that sense, the TUCA and ITUC leaders emphasized the importance of the training of workers, and celebrate the experience that UOCRA carries out through its Trade Union Training Programme for UOCRA’s Youth, an initiative of UOCRA General Secretary Gerardo Martínez.
After speeches delivered by the special guests leaders, an introductory class was conducted of what would be the training module on "Social Communication and Union Management".
The class was conducted by the head of UOCRA Press Office, Ricardo Caamaño, who spoke about the importance of communication in action and Union representation by UOCRA representatives.
