  • SECOND EDITION OF OUR PROGRAMME BUILDING ART WAS PRESENTED

DECLARED OF CULTURAL INTEREST BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE AUTONOMOUS CITY OF BUENOS AIRES

In the Golden Hall of the headquarters of the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires and in the presence of our Secretary-General, Gerardo Martínez, it was presented the second edition of our Programme Building Art, initiative of UOCRA Social Network designed as a tool for the promotion of art and national culture and as a bridge of exchange among workers, the culture of work and creative artistic and cultural environments.
Building Art 2016 is an exhibition of plastic art called "Bridges, Bonds of Solidarity, Union and Strength - Values of the Building Worker in the World of Work”
This proposal is intended to address the idea of art as a tool to promote cultural, educational and social development of workers, with emphasis on the value and the importance of work which has the participation of works made by established artists and new artists from the local area as well.
Apart from the participating artists, Gerardo Martinez was accompanied by Secretary General of the Civil Personal Union of the Nation (UPCN), Andrés Rodriguez; Pedro Furtado de Oliveira, Director of International Labour Organization (ILO) Argentina Office; members of the National Secretariat of UOCRA and representatives of the Legislature, among them Claudio Heredia, legislator from the Peronist Party and author of the Draft Declaration of Cultural interest for this initiative, which was approved by a large majority by the different political representations of the Buenos Aires legislature
Participating works will be shown, with free admission, at the headquarters of the Legislature between 21 and 28 September.
