CREATION OF THE COMMISSION FOR CONSULTATION AND OPERATIONAL COORDINATION OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HOUSING WAS FORMALIZED

  • CREATION OF THE COMMISSION FOR CONSULTATION AND OPERATIONAL COORDINATION OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HOUSING WAS FORMALIZED

With the participation of Ministry of Home Affairs, Public Works and Housing, UOCRA and Argentinean Chamber of the Building Industry [CAC]

At UOCRA headquarters and with the participation of Secretary-General, Gerardo Martínez; Minister of Home Affairs, Public Works and Housing, Rogelio Frigerio and President of Argentinean Chamber of the Building Industry [CAC] Juan Chediack, it was formalized the creation of Commission for Consultation and Operational Coordination of Public Works and Housing created at the behest of the Trade Union and corporate representation, in order to improve the execution of funds aimed at the continuation of ongoing public works and new works of housing and infrastructure.

This joint initiative by UOCRA, CAC and the National Government will be devoted in its initial stage to the normalization of the funds still to pay for the recovery of works in progress in order to recover the jobs lost in the last few months and increase the level of activity in the building industry with the implementation of new works which have been already planned.

Resolution 102/16 of Ministry of Home Affairs, Public Works and Housing grants legal operating range to this Committee that will be composed of representatives from the Ministry, two representatives from  UOCRA and two from CAC, who will serve on a voluntary basis, and  which will have among its main objectives:
Propose actions that contribute to the reactivation of the building industry and respond to the challenges that affect the public works and housing policy.
Propose improvements in information systems and modifications to procedures, to expedite and ensure transparent management of public works and housing.
Collaborate in the implementation of mechanisms for follow-up and permanent monitoring of public works.
