Within the framework of the "Programme on the Prevention of Risk Consumption of Alcohol and Other Psychotoxic Substances” fostered by UOCRA General Secretary Gerardo Martinez, training courses for works delegates continued, this time in the cities of Bahía Blanca and Posadas.

At Bahía Blanca, the course was conducted by Lic Claudio Mate Rothgerber, of proven experience in the field, who talked about Prevention of Occupational Accidents related to the Consumption of Alcohol and Other Substances.
Humberto Monteros, UOCRA Bahía Blanca General Secretary, as well as Deputy Secretaries from UOCRA Azul, Las Flores, Patagones, Tres Arroyos and Olavarría participated in the training session.
On the other hand, in Posadas, in the presence of UOCRA Posadas General Secretary Héctor Vallejos; the Minister of Health of the Province of Misiones, Dr. Oscar Herrera Ahuad and the OSPECON-Construir Salud (Health Insurance for the Building Workers) Medical Director Dr. Carlos Espelt, among others, the central axis of speeches were aimed at the Prevention and Detection of Addictions at Work and School. In both cities, representatives of the Argentinean Chamber of the Building Industry [CAC], as well as various NGO's, Caritas, medical college and other institutions interested in this problem, participated in the training course.
Content of this course aims to raise awareness and provide educational tools to delegates, so that they can effectively perform a first approach to this type of issues at the workplace, as well as interact with different social organizations dealing with this issue.
Another central objective of talks aims to raise awareness about the danger of consumption of Psychotoxic Substances at workplace.
Our ultimate goal is to achieve a better task of prevention and early detection, as well as the comprehensive health prevention of our building workers and the whole society.
