A photograph of the participation of Foundation Fundación UOCRA student in WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 Germany was chosen to illustrate the cover of the Technical Handbooks of the construction area in view to the upcoming edition of WorldSkills So Paulo 2015. The photo was taken when the contestant was taking part in the competition of hydraulic systems skills. WorldSkills International is an entity composed of institutions from 72 countries that promotes the professional training and asserts the relevance of the technical skill in economic productivity. Its main activity is the organization of WorldSkills competition, whose first edition was held in 1950 and which currently takes place every two years in one of the member countries. The latest edition, the 42 , was held in 2013 in Leipzig and gathered 1000 young competitors coming from 53 countries who participated in 46 skills, from 7 different productive sectors (from creative arts to construction). The Foundation Fundación UOCRA is the first and only institution of Argentina to participate in WorldSkills International and WorldSkills Americas supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security of the Nation.
