WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROGRAMME, UOCRA, THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK AND UOCRA CAPITAL, WE BEGAN WITH THE TRAINING ACTIONS FOR WORKERS FROM THE BUILDING WORK OF THE ARROYO VEGA LOCATED IN THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES.
Within the framework of the programme and together with the UTE, we have begun with training actions in health and safety at work at the different work fronts of Arroyo Vega. We recall that Arroyo Vega consists of the construction of a relieving tunnel to increase driving capacity in the backbone and rain water catchment. The building work will prevent floods during rain events with a recurrence of 10 years and mitigate damages for events of high recurrence. The building work consists of a tunnel of 8,400 meters of length starting in Nueva York street and at Helguera corner finishing at the seafront of Río de la Plata (at La Pampa street level). The first work stage was carrying out different surveys of working conditions at the front building works in order to get acquainted with the area and to detect possible improvement to be implemented after the process of formation. The first talk was held at the worksite where over 20 workers took part, and this week the following contents were addressed: -Regulation of HSW – PPE -Order and cleaning -Prevention when performing tasks at Heights -Prevention while working at Heights
